Spatial Options to CLG 30/06/08

On the 30th June 2008 we submitted a number of documents to Communities and Local Government  to mark the completion of Phase One of our consultation process. The documents (right) summarize the findings of months of technical studies, into key issues such as Housing, Transport, Ecology and Education.

Also submitted were 3 spatial options Archipelago, Network & Compact which brought together, in visual form, the results of the public consultation and technical assessments. Each of the three layouts presents a different approach to maximising the potential for the town. All are informed by the key aim of creating a community with strong links between the town and the surrounding farmland and countryside.

It was stressed at the time that these were all interim documents and subject to further consultation.
Public consultation began on these papers when they were published on 11th July 2008.
