The Masterplan

The eco-town will comprise a mix of different areas, spaces, movement routes and landscapes.   

The proposed eco-town will form a network of settlements sitting alongside the existing towns and villages in the locality.   There will be five new settlement areas, each focused on parts of the site where there has already been some development.  Each settlement will have its own services and infrastructure, including schools, shops, community facilities and transport connections. 

The settlements will be connected by a network of bus or tram routes along roads as well as by cycleways and footpaths whilst countryside termed the ‘Great Park’ will be retained between settlements.
