We want to give everyone in the town the opportunity to live in homes that meet their needs, with lower energy bills and less impact on the environment

Decent homes are the foundation stones upon which communities are built.  English Partnerships has a recognised track record in building new homes, with nearly 18,000 completed or started on site last year alone.  And for those who are struggling to get a foot on the property ladder, the Agency’s First Time Buyer’s Initiative is set to deliver 3,500 new homes for affordable sale as part of the HomeBuy Scheme.

Developers building on English Partnerships’ land or using English Partnerships’ money have to meet standards way in excess of those currently required under building regulations.  For nearly two years, for example, EP has insisted on all new homes meeting level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, and they will insist on Level 6 – or zero carbon – by 2013, well in advance of the private sector.
